Universidade Lusíada de Famalicão and CLEGI (Centro Lusíada de Engenharia e Gestão Industrial) are honored to announce the organization of the 13th International Conference on Human Resource Development Research and Practice Across Europe: The future of HRD - 2020 and beyond: challenges and opportunities’ to be held from 23rd to 25th of May 2012. We are delighted to be hosting this conference on behalf of the University Forum for Human Resource Development (UFHRD) and the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD).
The main topic of the conference was chosen (in 2010), when we looked back at the last decade and remembered how life was in 2000. Do you still remember 2000? There was no Facebook, no Twitter, and also less internet, and less mobile phones. Another politicians, less controls when flying, and no BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China). But anyway, HRD was already a fundamental field of knowledge in 2000. So, even if history never repeats itself, and surprises, like change are constant, what do you think can we expect for our scientific field in 2020? Will we be engulfed by technology? Or will we incorporate it and expand our influence like never before, profiting from the waves of development and democracy that will be felt in China, India, Latin America, the ex-URSS, and the Muslim World? And what about the European economic crisis? What effect, if any, will it have on it have HRD? We want to have your opinion on these and other perspectives on the future of HRD.
We hope to count on your collaboration to make of HRD 2012 Europe a great occasion. Come and enjoy yourself with us!
